I can’t remember what made me look, but I just checked behind the scenes for the first time in a while and Holy Moly! there are a lot of visitors checking in to this little blog. But, why so quiet? I didn’t even know you were here.
And so, I invite you to join me. You may secretly think you don’t have much to offer, but you do. Write to me. Say hello and help me plan my spring. (It’s coming, you know!) Tell me what projects interest you, what you want to hear about, what you already know or want to know about. I want to hear from you.
So here’s the deal. You may submit your “Hello” several ways:
1) via the Mossy Facebook page
2) via Comments to this post
3) or via Contact link with “Hello” as the subject
Submissions must be received by Friday, March 4th. Readers will be able to “like” their favorites on Facebook if they choose, but ultimately, a team of highly qualified experts (my small, insightful design team) will decide on a winner. The winner will be announced on Friday, March 11th. And, get this: The winner will walk away with two handmade Mossy hairbands (very similar to the one pictured above, but different, and carefully wrapped and tied with a bow).
Ask, tell, share. Your comments mean so much to me. Can’t wait to hear from you. And good luck!

I really like the simple design of your blog and I hope you post lots of photos, maybe process photos of you crafting!
i love the tone of your blog. holy moly—just the way i like it.
cute headbands! so earthy
*sigh* I see many people read my blog but not comment on anything too, so here’s a big ol’ HELLO from me
! Oh and about planning spring, well, first let’s continue hibernating til April and then let’s get out all the lovely spring colors and get creative!!
Birgit
My daughter and I love felted headbands and bangles. We would love to see some in colors like heather, moss green, spring green, peach, sage, and lemon yellow.
I would love to see posts about being self-suffcient in having a baby, like sewing your own clothes, making their toys yourself. What about books, furniture? are there eco-ways to do those at home too?
Hi Mossy,
I came across your site through craftgossip.com on Facebook, and I really enjoy your tutorials. The technique on making the felted flowers is just awesome and something I plan on incorporating into my newly emerged interest in felting. As far as helping you to plan your spring I hope you keep going with the clever upcyling and simple designs, with input from your “design team.”
Carolyn
id love to win, thanks!!
I hope Spring arrives soon… I want to plant some flowers in my garden!!!
Thanks for the chance… you have a nice blog!
Great giveaway!
I saw the post about your felt flower giveaway (craftgossip) on Facebook. I am in love with your flowers. I am drawn to felt and anything that is made with felt. I also love anything inspired by nature. A girl can’t ever have too many flowers! I have to admit, I’m sorry I don’t post more often. Shame on me. I should because, I love it when people take the time to post on my blog. I have been a crafter for many years. I am so glad that it is still cool to craft. And especially to share your ideas. I applaud you for that. Keep up the good work. Recycle and reuse!
Hi! I’d love to hear about getting the yard/garden ready for spring and to get some good ideas about beautiful things to plant.:-)
I love your blog! I have checked in several times just to see all the really cool things. I enjoy blogging myself. So “Hello” you are incredibly talented and I look forward to seeing more!!

Your felted flowers are beautiful. I used to felt so much more than I do now. I bought a front loader washer and it just isn’t as much fun to felt. Thank you for your inspiration!
Fantastic blog- your flowers are sooo beautiful
I love your work, I’ve not seen it before. Would love to win your giveaway and follow your work in the future. Thankyou.
Your flowers are beautiful. I wish I could felt. I think I am afraid to try. Anyways I too am ready for spring to be sprung on us. Lots of pretty flowers in lots of pretty colors.
as a ‘lurker’, i usually fail at actually commenting on things, but since you called us all out…
i love the organic tone of your blog – finding new uses for older items, raising kids the right way…it’s just wholesome and refreshing!
HELLO!
Love the felted flowers, nice detail.
I really love the felted flower!!! I’ve tried knitting and then felting in the past. But I never would have thought to recycle previously knitted items. What great idea. I’m new to your blog and I know I’ll be checking back often to see what other great ideas you’ve posted. Thanks for sharing.
just wanted to say hi there are many things from flower gardening to no cook meals that I so want to have.
What fun fuzzy flowers! I am really getting into items made with wool, and in particular “repurposing” wool and cashmere sweaters into wonderful new items.
I don’t knit, but I do sew and quilt.
Thanks for allowing me to enter your drawing.
P.S.
Your flowers are so beautiful!!
I ‘d love a chance to enter your wonderful giveaway!!
Recycling old sweaters for yarn for knitting and crocheting is one of my favorite hobbies
Hello! I love your blog and your work. I’d like to see more upcycled sweater projects.
Hi Marcie, loving your blog and your felting tips are great – now I’m inspired to get down to following them! Also, great to read about your resume decision – currently also a scientist/educator and good to know that there are other options out there. Look forward to reading more on your blog.

Hello! I’m a new follower! Your designs and your blog are amazing!

Your blog is so inspiring, thanks for the giveaway!
I love the balance you have between sharing crafts/recipes and personal posts.
HELLOOOO
Lovely felted flowers
I love those bobbles!!!
I would love a sparrow broach or bobble and other wild birds, even a sea gull would be fun and funky to own, they can swallow a burger in a single scoff but i do love seagulls!
Maybe cats as well – i love cats as do lots of people.
I love the design of your blog it’s great.
thankyou
Purposefully choosing a simpler way of life after battling cancer this past year. Started felting as a pastime- love what you are doing. Thanks for the give-away!
Ditto, Cammy, on the cancer thing. I, too, am striving for a healthier lifestyle and distance from toxins. Good luck to you. Good luck to us both.
I love that you like the slower things in life and are ok with getting your kids dirty. Its how I want to raise my kids.
the hairband is so adorable! Do you have a shop on etsy? And I think it would attract more buyers if you post more detailed pictures of the hairband
hello…your blog is awesome
Holy Moly! Or rather, Holy Mossy! Love of felting led me to you. I’m a total newbie to felting but love the warmth and texture of the medium and all the beautiful things being done with it!
These hairbands are beautiful! I am happy I came across this when I was exploring. Spring…well, as I write this, it is pouring pouring pouring rain, so spring seems far away. I am looking forward to the sun coming out so I can work on large felting projects outside, plant some tomatoes, enjoy a cool evening outdoors…maybe make some natural bug spray…ah, spring!
I love holy moly giveaways! As the snow falls on this typical Maine day I’ve found great joy and inspiration perusing over your blog and facebook pages. Now it’s time to fill the birdfeeders, rake the roof, shovel the deck and help with plowing. Must take care of my home in the Maine mountains that is a house filled with love. Missing my NY friends this fine winter day! xo
I think these are about the most adorable hairbands ever. Do you have a shop?
Hi!
Spring is the time for new ideas to blossom, right? So why not try new things, new materials, new techniques, new “subjects”? Seeking inspiration in new places, too!
Hello! I love your blog and I love the hair band in that photo
jesage@asu.edu
I loved felting a hat years ago. Since that time I got a blonde Pomeranian named Fluff and the towels and dryer make felted buttons for me. You have created beautiful combinations.
